What does A1Monitor do?
- A1Monitor allows you to monitor multiple web pages from your web servers, ping any IP addresss, and monitor any TCP network server (ftp, smtp, pop3, telnet etc.)
- You could install A1Monitor on your NT web server and have it reboot your server automatically if the web server has problems.
- You may install A1Monitor on a monitoring PC (console) and have it ping or monitor multiple TCP servers (http, https, ftp, pop3 etc.)
- A1Monitor runs as an NT Service [MORE INFO] so you can be sure A1Monitor will start when your computer is rebooted.
- A1Monitor monitors the servers every minute or so (you specify the interval) [MORE INFO].
- If no response or an incorrect response is returned a number of times in a row it's considered a server failure and the following will happen:
- You are notified by email (you can choose any number of email addresses [MORE INFO]
- You can have A1Monitor shut down and restart the computer it's running on, or a remote computer accessable to your network.
- In addition, when a Server failure occurs, you can choose to have a program or batch file [MORE INFO] execute. For example, you might execute a command to restart a remote computer.
- Graph data is stored for each server. You can see response time graphs for any day in the current month.

Here at Swiss InterWeb we are using A1Monitor since Windows NT4 ! We use it on all our Windows servers since we can monitor plenty of different services, plus A1Monitor can trigger home made script in case of event.
One of the main advantage is the A1Monitor is very easy to install, configure and use and best of all is very economic in term of resources.
Finally its price is really attractive regarding the peace of mind it brings.
We will definitely recommend this product to any Windows administrator, beginner or advanced.
